Can you think of something that fascinates you the most and yet you like to keep the utmost distance from!!! I can. "SNAKES", yes thats rights, those are snakes. Neither do we share feelings of love nor rivalry for each other, but the bonding is such that we don't miss any opportunity of meeting. This time it was a visit to Bannerghatta National park, to see them and their friends and foes accompanied by m better half as my partner. It was June 18th, 2011, we reached the national park by 11 and opted for the safari to begin the journey. No doubt the safari was awesome, not becoz we had too many wild animals to see from a closer distance in their natural habitat but bcoz, I found humans caged, although in a big jeep and animals left free to run around in a comparatively bigger space.complete article

Read MoreHope you read my last post on Cellular Jail. We had a great time there. We recalled our history and became a bit emotional too. We need some fresh air, and what would be better than a forest on top of the mountain in an island. Mt. Harriet! It was today's original itinerary. Cellular Jail was only an addition to it. We called our car and started towards Mt. Harriet. Few minutes, 15 or so and we were in the jetty (If I could remember the name properly it was Chatham Jetty). A Cargo Ship from there to Bamboo Flat. Our car was traveling with us, and we packed our lunch too. So, we had no worries about anything. It was not a long journey, around 20 minutes. We reached the other island.complete article

We started our journey from Havelock to Port Blair. In no time we reached and spent the night there. The next day was for Mt. Harriet. In our itinerary, there is no option for Cellular Jail. We had already visited there for Light & Sound show. However, we had a wish to visit the museum and roam around the heritage prison. So, we talked with our driver; he suggested it would not take the whole day for Mt. Harriet. Then, we decided to visit the Cellular Jail. The driver agreed and we went there. complete article

The pleasant evening in the Radha Nagar Beach soon end and we had to plan for the next day. We were still in Havelock. Our returning ship was around the 3O'clock next day. We had some time in hand, and we wanted to utilize it. Our tour guide in Havelock, Mr. Khan, if I remember the name correctly, suggested to visit a small beach nearby. He would arrange a boat for 4 of us. The name of the beach was Elephant Beach.

March 3rd, 2010 around 7 O'clock in the morning, we started our expedition. 40min in the blue water and we were there. A beach, really small  one and we were the first to reach. Obviously, for the day; but it was felt like we are stepping into the sore of an unknown beach we had found first. Few broken woods in the crystal clear water, white sands and the morning sun created the perfect environment for the day.complete article

Friends hope you enjoy other posts about my Andaman Trip. As I mentioned in my earlier post here comes the Havelock island trip. IMG_4678We make ourselves ready for the trip early morning, pack up dresses required there, and went to the port. We need to travail by ship.

What we hard before about the island are that it will take few hours to reach by ship and the island is the largest among the Andaman Islands. Also we knew the finest sea beach in Asia is there named “Radha Nagar” beach. We never travail by ship, we came to Port Blair by flight. It was an experience, thought it is not a very big ship. Still we enjoyed during journey.  complete article
