I appeared for the UGC NET for the second time in my life. Let me tell you about my first experience. In a single line, it was horrible. I agreed that I was under prepared, but I was really wondered to see the exam pattern. My God, what they expect from the future Researchers and Lecturers. Neither it intended to determine how good is your reasoning skills are as per the researcher dynamics, nor it tries to judge how excellent is your teaching ability. Then what exactly it testing? According to me, it used to qualify you based on how closer your skills compare to a Donkey's attitude. Well probably, this is how our country doing research right now. And with obvious reason, I was not fitting to the model. I then decided not to appear further, unless they think un other than donkey, and with another shocking step, the UGC decided to go by another way sooner than I expected. It is probably a well-known news that, UGC NET is now MCQ.read more

I had created TheUnspokenWords back in Oct 2010. Although I am happy with the interfaces which my readers navigates trough, yet I am compromising with no admin interfaces. Recently I updated the Gallery section and this takes time. In between my site sufferers for new content. Honestly, I could not able to manage myself as a writer and developer. In 2010, I was a happy user of MS Windows, so I was using MS WLW for publishing my posts. Soon I detached from MS Windows for a better alternative GNU/Linux. Currently I am using Kubuntu and Fedora KDE. So, the best options I could use for publishing my posts is Blogilo. Though Blogilo is a very nice program for KDE users, but I found some issues with it. For example, I need to upload the images separately through FTP. Anyway, I have no issues to do some work manually before publishing my posts. But, that only solves a single problem to a very large problem set. So, I decided to create admin section for the site. I have two option to do this. First, create a web interface to manage the site content or, second, create a desktop application to manage my site.read more

INVIGILATION!!!!!!!!!!!! A word of hatred for both the students as well as the invigilator. A student’s biggest enemy in an examination hall is an invigilator. An invigilator finds it difficult whirling around, with no work. A watchman has a better time, at least can take a nap, or have a cup of coffee if needed. It’s the same with me when it’s part of my work. However, this time I had decided, I would enjoy it. ENJOY!!!!!! O u heard that right!

Last month I had the same restless watchman ship. This time I had made my mind to just not invigilate but look into or rather spy on the ideas of the students about cheating or copying. Its not something unknown to me. I have seen many wonderful ideas from m childhood till this age. But just was curious to know if there could be advancement in it. M not talking about the technical ideas of using microphones or so. Just the skillful small ideas. You all must be finding me crazy, thinking, me being in the education field is promoting such a thing, but it isn’t so. Just wanted to share my idea of finding people’s intelligence in various fields.

This task made my invigilation duty an unforgettable experience. Just wanted to share with all.read more
